Tool Repairer Interview Questions

16 Tell me about an experience in which you analyzed information and evaluated results to choose the best solution to a problem.
17 Walk me through how you repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
18 Describe methods you have found effective to inspect and test equipment in order to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
19 What methods do you use to inspect electrical connections, wiring, relays, charging resistance boxes, and storage batteries, following wiring diagrams?
20 What kind of experience do you have assembling electrical parts such as alternators, generators, starting devices, and switches, following schematic drawings and using hand, machine, and power tools? Share an example.
21 How do you balance cooperation with others and independent thinking? Share an example. (Try to determine if the candidate has a cooperative attitude or is otherwise good-natured.)
22 Tell me how you organize, plan, and prioritize your work.
23 Provide an example of when you were persistent in the face of obstacles.
24 What is the most challenging part of lifting units or parts such as motors or generators, using cranes or chain hoists, or signal crane operators to lift heavy parts or subassemblies?
25 Share a time when you willingly took on additional responsibilities or challenges. How did you successfully meet all of the demands of these responsibilities? (Make sure the candidate is a self-starter and can demonstrate some initiative.)
