Histologic Aide Interview Questions

There are 2 different sets of questions for this title
1 Tell me about an experience in which you analyzed information and evaluated results to choose the best solution to a problem.
2 Share an experience when you applied new technology or information in your job. How did it help your company?
3 What kind of experience do you have staining tissue specimens with dyes or other chemicals to make cell details visible under microscopes?
4 Describe methods you have found effective to prepare or use prepared tissue specimens for teaching, research or diagnostic purposes.
5 Walk me through how you would cut sections of body tissues for microscopic examination using microtomes.
6 Share an experience you had in dealing with a difficult person and how you handled the situation.
7 Share an experience in which you've successfully learned how to handle a new piece of equipment?
8 Tell me how you organize, plan, and prioritize your work.
9 Share an example of a time you had to gather information from multiple sources. How did you determine which information was relevant?
10 Describe an experience when you examined slides under microscopes to ensure tissue preparation meets laboratory requirements.
11 Share an experience in which your attention to detail and thoroughness had an impact on your last company.
12 Name a time when you maintained laboratory equipment such as microscopes, mass spectrometers, microtomes, immunostainers, tissue processors, embedding centers, and water baths.
13 Share your approach to operate computerized laboratory equipment to dehydrate, decalcify, or microincinerate tissue samples.
14 Share an example of when you went above and beyond the "call of duty". (Look for answers that show the candidate is dependable.)
15 Provide an example when your ethics were tested.
